Shipping & delivery

Dispatch

Orders are dispatched within 2-3 working days. Every cutter is printed, cleaned and checked by hand before it goes in the envelope, which is why we do not promise same-day dispatch - a rushed print is a print that fails on your dough.

Orders placed after 1pm join the next working day's batch. We do not dispatch on weekends or UK bank holidays.

Baking to a deadline? Tell us the date in the order notes or drop us a message before you order and we will tell you honestly whether it will make it.

UK delivery

Delivery times run from dispatch, not from when you order.
Service Time after dispatch Cost
Royal Mail Tracked 48 2-3 working days £2.95
Royal Mail Tracked 24 1-2 working days £3.95
Free Tracked 48 2-3 working days Free over £50.0

Every UK order is tracked. Your tracking number is emailed as soon as the label is generated - that email is your dispatch confirmation.

International delivery

We ship to Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. International orders go tracked and usually arrive within 7-21 working days, depending on the destination and how long customs takes an interest.

Costs are calculated at checkout by weight and destination, so you see the exact figure before you pay.

Customs and import charges are yours, not ours. We cannot predict them, we cannot refund them, and we cannot mark a parcel as a gift or understate its value - doing so is fraud and it is your parcel that gets seized.

If it has not arrived

Check the tracking link first. The large majority of "missing" parcels are sitting at a local delivery office, with a neighbour, or behind a bin.

If tracking genuinely has not moved:

  • UK: after 5 working days, get in touch.
  • International: after 21 working days, get in touch.

Send us your order number and we will chase the carrier or send a replacement. You will not be left arguing with Royal Mail on your own.

Report a delivery problem

Wrong address?

Tell us within a couple of hours of ordering and we can almost always change it. Once a label is printed we cannot, and once it has been delivered to the address you gave us it is no longer covered - so do check the postcode at checkout.

Returns & refunds

Your right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you have 14 days from delivery to tell us you want to return an unused item, and a further 14 days to actually send it back. You do not need to give a reason and we will not ask for one.

How to return something

  1. Tell us

Message us or email hello@cuttingedgecookies.com with your order number and what you are returning.

  2. We confirm the address

We will reply within 1-2 working days with where to send it.

  3. Send it back unused

In its original packaging. Return postage is yours unless the item is faulty or we sent the wrong thing - get proof of postage, it is free at the counter.

  4. We refund you

To your original payment method, within 5 working days of the return reaching us.

Faulty, damaged, or the wrong item

Our problem, not yours. Send us a photo within 30 days of delivery and we will replace it or refund it in full, including your postage.

Do not post it back before you have heard from us. Nine times out of ten the photograph is all we need, and you keep the faulty one rather than paying to return something we are only going to bin.

What we cannot take back

Bespoke and personalised cutters

Once a custom design is cut it has no other buyer, so these are exempt from the 14-day right to cancel - that exemption is written into the Regulations for personalised goods. If a custom cutter arrives faulty or does not match the design you approved, that is a different matter and we will put it right.

Anything that has been used

Items returned used, washed, or with dough residue cannot be refunded. These are food-contact tools and we cannot resell them.

A word about print quality

Every cutter here is 3D printed, and printing leaves faint layer lines. That is the process showing, not a defect, and it has no effect on how the cutter cuts or how the detail stamps.

What is a defect: a cutter that arrives warped, cracked, with a detached embosser, or that will not release dough cleanly. Send a photo and we will replace it.

Still not sure?

Ask before you buy rather than after. If you tell us what you are baking for we will tell you honestly whether a set is right for it.

Ask us first

None of this affects your statutory rights.
